Mae Penn

Mae Penn grew up in the Midwest and studied literature at the University before spending nearly two decades teaching high school English. She has also worked as a research assistant with a think tank.

She now lives in the foothills of western North Carolina, where the pace is slower and the light is good for reading on the porch. Her days are shaped by long walks with her rescue dog, Biscuit, and regular visits from her three grandchildren, who keep her supplied with questions she doesn't always have answers for.
